Mt Macedon Refurbishment
The new owners of this property, set in beautiful gardens and bushland on the south slope of Mount Macedon, approached us to refurbish their existing house with the aim of bringing the existing 1980’s building into the 21st century with better insulation, sorting out a lack of storage, and getting more sunlight into the house. The town planning restrictions on the property meant that all the work needed to fit within the existing building footprint. With this in mind the existing “colonial” windows were replaced with black framed double glazed units, the interior walls altered to create more storage and a better layout, and new bespoke joinery added. Roof glazing and larger windows have brought much needed light into the interior.
